Warner Bros. / Warner Music Nashville country star RaeLynn knows there is no better way to celebrate summer than performing her brand new song “Tailgate” to thousands of fans at one of the season’s biggest festivals, and that there are no better people to do it with than her friends from Florida Georgia Line. Today People premiered the video from Faster Horses Festival (watch HERE), where RaeLynn joined Brian Kelly and co-writer Tyler Hubbard onstage, declaring that the “feel-good” tune “will have fans singing all year long.”
The accomplished singer / songwriter and Hubbard collaborated with Canaan Smith and Corey Crowder to pen the “instantly-singable track” (Taste of Country). Outlets including Rolling Stone have praised the tune that “offers a fresh, feisty perspective on the beloved trope” for its “punchy acoustic guitar… laid-back, summer-ready beat, and… sunny, twangy vocals.” Check it out HERE.
RaeLynn’s previous release, “Queens Don’t,” was the first new music from the breakout recording artist since her debut record WildHorse arrived at No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Albums Chart and Top 10 on Billboard’s All-Genre Albums Sales Chart in 2017. Directed by Sean Hagwell, the accompanying “Queens Don’t” video has impressively tallied nearly 4.5 million views on YouTube, contributing to the track’s 12.8 million total on-demand streams. The song also ushered in a new era for RaeLynn as a songwriter, who signed a new publishing deal with Tree Vibez Music (founded by Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard and Bryan Kelley) and released a special track, “Festival,” to coincide with the launch of Too Faced’s “Life’s A Festival” campaign. She is the first country artist to be the face of a Too Faced line, which is available in stores worldwide.
RaeLynn co-wrote 11 of the 12 tracks on Wildhorse, which was recognized as one of the 40 Best Country and Americana Albums of 2017 by Rolling Stone and a Best Country Album by UPROXX and Stereogum in addition to being a “People’s Picks” by People. The album’s lead single, the Gold-certified “Love Triangle,” tells her personal story in a way that “is a raw and emotional account of what it’s like to be the child of divorced parents” (People), which media and fans immediately gravitated toward. With a remarkable 250 million cumulative career on-demand streams to her name, the breakout star has earned numerous award nominations from the Academy of Country Music, Radio Disney Music Awards and CMT Music Awards. She has performed on several national TV shows including TODAY, Late Night with Seth Meyersand ELLEN.
