Under the leadership of chairman and CEO John Esposito, Warner Music Nashville has made it a priority to break artists in meaningful ways, and today they make history. WMN artists Ingrid Andress and Gabby Barrett are shattering glass ceilings as the first female artists with back-to-back No.1 singles (4/19, 4/26) on the Mediabase / Country Aircheck chart. They are also the first solo artists (male or female) to ever top the chart back-to-back with debut singles since Country Aircheck’s launch in 2006.

 

“This accomplishment is a testament to our entire organization,” Esposito said. “To A&R for signing powerful artists and finding songs that resonate, to Radio & Streaming for putting those songs in position to win and to the entire marketing team for continually finding unique ways to get our artists and their music to the fans. Those are the hallmarks artist development. The Apple Music Up Next artist and ACM New Female Artist of the Year nominee was also 2019’s only solo-female-debut to crack Top 20 on the Country Airplay chart. One of SiriusXM’s Future Five for 2020, one of CMT’s 2020 Next Women of Country, a 2020 MusicRow Next Big Thing artist, a SiriusXM + Pandora All-Genre and Country Artist to Watch, Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing, and an Amazon Music 2020 Artist to Watch, as well as being their best performing country female of 2019, she continues to rise through the ranks.
