Warner Music Nashville congratulates Dan + Shay, Ashley McBryde and Blake Shelton who all woke up this morning with a combined five nominations across multiple categories for the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards.
“God’s Country’ is such a powerful song and I’m so proud to be a part of it,” says Shelton. “I’m thankful that Devin [Dawson], Michael [Hardy] and Jordan [Schmidt] trusted me with a lyric that has connected so powerfully with so many people.”
“‘Girl Goin’ Nowhere’ is the song that keeps on giving,” McBryde reflects. “I was blown away by our first Grammy nomination for Country Album of the Year last year. And now ‘Girl Goin’ Nowhere’ gets two nominations?! Can’t keep her down. That’s the message Jeremy Bussey and I let off the leash. She’s a fighter. I’m so honored and proud to see this song stay alive.”
All three artists also took home CMA Awards earlier this month, with Dan + Shay receiving the Duo of the Year award, McBryde winning the coveted New Artist of the Year award and Shelton earning a Single of the Year trophy for “God’s Country.”
