One-Night-Only Discussion and Performance This Week in NYC for Samsung 837 “Doers Defying Barriers”
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (February 20, 2018) – Breakout artist Devin Dawson is set to perform his rapidly approaching Top 5 single “All On Me” on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon next Wednesday, February 28 at 11:35/10:35c. The only country artist on Entertainment Weekly’s “8 Artists Who Will Rule 2018” list, who described his Top 5 debut album Dark Horse as an “intoxicating swirl of pop, R&B, and rock,” has also partnered with Samsung 837 for “Doers Defying Barriers.” The one-night-only discussion and performance will be this Thursday, February 22 at the brand’s experiential flagship in New York City. RSVP here.
Always looking for ways to connect with fans, the critically acclaimed singer-songwriter will head out on tour with Brett Eldredge in April and recently added a slew of his own headline dates, with Nashville’s March 29 show at Exit/In selling out in just one day. Dawson’s meteoric rise earned him a spot as the only male recording artist on both People’s “Ones to Watch” list and ELLE’s Fall Culture Preview in addition to Artist to Watch recognition from acclaimed outlets including Huffington Post, AXS, Billboard and more. He made his national television debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers the same week his “memorably melodic breakout out” (Billboard) “All On Me” arrived at radio as well as his elite status as one of few artists to make his TODAY show debut in both the 8AM and 10AM hours.
Called “one of country music’s most tender and articulate wordsmiths” by The Tennessean, it was important for the California-native to tell the story behind writing each song. To do that, Dawson created Songs In the Key of F, an extended 12-part video series chronicling that creative process. Each new installment occurs in the location where he wrote the track, sharing the stories alongside his co-writers in addition to a new version of the song. Watch here: https://youtu.be/FU-uFvH6EFs.

About Devin Dawson
An atypical country artist, Devin Dawson’s approach to music is not different on purpose, it’s different with purpose. He grew up just outside the gates of Folsom Prison, drawing inspiration from Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson, Marvin Gaye and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Pulling from these influences, he began to write in a style that is definitively country. Dawson’s lyrics, full of romance and vulnerability and delivered with a distinctive saw-toothed vocal, draw you in from the first verse and keep you hooked until the very last chord. Since the release of his debut single “All On Me,” the California-native has performed on NBC’s Late Night with Seth Meyers and TODAY, earning critical praise from a multitude of outlets including People, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, Huffington Post, ELLE, Billboard, Stereogum, American Songwriter and more. His unique mix of organic roots and high-voltage country is showcased masterfully on his debut Dark Horse, produced by the daring Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Little Big Town, Brothers Osborne). With a co-write credit on every track, the result will further establish Dawson’s building reputation as a dark horse set to emerge as one of the most exciting modern storytellers the format has ever seen.
