Chosen for iHeartRadio’s Esteemed “On The Verge” Program;
Joining Michael Ray On Tour This Fall
NASHVILLE, TN – (August 24, 2017) – Atlantic Records / Warner Music Nashville artist Devin Dawson, one of the most buzzed about new artists in country music, is celebrating a monumental month so far. Following his inclusion inELLE as one of three artists in music to not to miss this season, The Tennessean shared an exclusive interview praising him as “one of country music’s most tender and articulate wordsmiths.” He showcases that talent in his current single “All On Me,” with a just released acoustic version premiering as part of Entertainment Tonight’s new online video series “Certified Country.”
The California native also brought his “stare inducing stage presence” (ELLE) to Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater last night, where it was officially announced that he has been chosen as the latest iHeartRadio “On The Verge” artist. Dawson performed alongside label mates Brett Eldredge, Chris Janson and soon-to-be-tour mate Michael Ray, who he’ll join out on the road starting October 5 in Tuscaloosa, AL. Tickets for the “Get To You” Tour go on sale this Friday, August 25 at MichaelRayMusic.com.
As the first artist to ever live-stream a musical performance in Facebook’s LA studio, he’s also received praise across a multitude of other outlets including Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, CMT, HITS Magazine, and People Magazine. The VEVO dscvr artist, who looked “right at home” (Rolling Stone) for his national television debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers in May, has already toured with Maren Morris, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill this year.

About Devin Dawson
Since the release of Devin Dawson’s debut single “All On Me” earlier this year, the California-native has already made his TV debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers, landed his first Grand Ole Opry performance, and received critical praise from a multitude of outlets including Entertainment Tonight, ELLE, People, Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, The Tennessean, HITS Magazine and more. An atypical country artist, Dawson’s approach to music is not different on purpose, it’s different with purpose. He grew up just outside the gates of Folsom Prison, drawing inspiration from Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson, Marvin Gaye and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Pulling from these influences, he began to write in a style that is definitively country. Dawson’s lyrics full of romance and vulnerability, delivered with a distinctive saw-toothed vocal, draw you in from the first verse and keep you hooked until the very last chord. His unique mix of organic roots and high-voltage country is showcased masterfully on his forthcoming debut Dark Horse, produced by the daring Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Little Big Town, Brothers Osborne). With a co-write credit on every track, the result will further establish Dawson’s building reputation as a dark horse set to emerge as one of the most exciting modern storytellers the format has ever seen.
