Warner Music Nashville will close the Pickin’ on the Patio season with a grand finale performance on September 19 from one of its brightest young stars, Tegan Marie. In 2017, she became the youngest female artist – at age 13 – signed to a major country label in over 45 years. This year has seen the 14-year-old country artist experience new heights in her quickly rising career with the release of “I Know How To Make A Boy Cry” and “Keep It Lit.” She continues to create music alongside hit-makers Scott Hendricks (Blake Shelton, Dan + Shay) and Nathan Chapman (Taylor Swift).
With a larger-than-life voice, Tegan Marie was discovered by girls’ media platform Sweety High when her family started uploading her videos at age seven. She catapulted into the national spotlight when her breathtaking rendition of Florida Georgia Line’s “H.O.L.Y.” received over 20M views online. Tegan Marie went on to a string of acclaimed performances at Stagecoach, ABC’s Good Morning America, the Grand Ole Opry and PBS’ The Gershwin Prizespecial honoring Smokey Robinson. As her videos continue to gain a wide audience (over 100M views), Tegan Marie has shared the stage with artists such as Cam, Hunter Hayes and Kelsea Ballerini while partnering with Pepsi for a tour across the Midwest. In 2018, she made her debut at the Ryman Auditorium, played NBC's TODAY show, presented on the Radio Disney Music Awards and was featured on the 2018 watch lists for Billboard, Rolling Stone and Huffington Post.
Doors at 20 Music Square East will open at 5:00 p.m. and the show will begin at 5:30. All ages are welcome. Special thanks to our Pickin’ on the Patio sponsors Dr. Pepper, Hubert’s Lemonade, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Lyft, popchips and Topo Chico. The series will resume for its 10th season next summer.
