Debut Song Available Today via Atlantic Records / Warner Music Nashville
Atlantic Records / Warner Music Nashville recording artist Ingrid Andress, a lyricist Rolling Stone describes as "honest and heartbreaking,” released her debut track "Lady Like" everywhere today (LISTEN HERE). Already an accomplished songwriter, Andress has co-writer credits on hits like Charli XCX’s “Boys" and has written with heavy hitters in the music community such as Alicia Keys, Sam Hunt and FLETCHER. To celebrate her first major label release as a solo artist, Andress performed the anthemic track and previewed forthcoming new music Thursday night at New York’s Mercury Lounge.
Recently earning MusicRow's DISCovery award, The New York Times has praised her voice for being "steady, calm, [and] alive" with CMT declaring that she is “… arguably one of the most creative tunesmiths to call Nashville home in recent memory.” She was also named on several Artist to Watch lists including CMT, The Boot and Sounds Like Nashville, all before having any music in the marketplace. She'll be heading overseas in March for the C2C Festival with more dates to be announced soon.
ABOUT INGRID ANDRESS
Hailing from Denver, Colorado, Ingrid Andress has been chipping away at expectations of herself, and her sound, since she was a young child. As good at sports as she was writing songs, Andress was born into a large family and homeschooled in her youth, growing up outside of the traditional definitions that apply to most kids – of what little girls are "supposed" to do, or how she was supposed to interact with the world around her. It all has led to new music for 2019 that will prove her to be one of the most unique and moving voices in the country space and beyond; one that is thrillingly honest, raw and refreshing in a way rarely seen emanating from Music City.
