Wyoming-born singer / songwriter and Warner Music Nashville recording artist Ian Munsick continues to marry his Rocky Mountain sound with down-to-earth wisdom in his latest release, “More Than Me” (LISTEN HERE). The faith-driven story song, which he co-produced with Phil O’Donnell and wrote alongside O’Donnell, Carlton Anderson and Casey Beathard, was many years in the making:

“The title hit me when I attended my friend’s wedding in Tennessee a few years ago,” Munsick shared. “Like any good songwriter, I stole it from the groom after he said, ‘I love her because she loves Jesus more than she loves me.’ What a concept. His words inspired me to keep every single lyric in ‘More Than Me’ true to that event and my life. Like many of my songs, love is the theme – but this one feels bigger. There is no greater love than that of a man for his wife, a mother for her child and the Father for his children. Tying all of those relationships in a three-minute story was a challenge that took me a little over three years to wrap my head around… it was worth the wait.”

“More Than Me” follows the release of “Long Live Cowgirls” earlier this year, both from his forthcoming sophomore album. The collaboration with Cody Johnson recently hit No. 1 on SiriusXM The Highway’s Hot 30 Countdown and has earned nearly 40 million on-demand streams. Taste of Country has praised the “rootsy” western ballad for its “straight-from-the-heart delivery, while Whiskey Riff declared that the “gorgeous, wide-open fiddle… will make you feel like you’re riding a horse through the plains of Texas or… the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.”

The MusicRow “Next Big Thing” artist has proved his road warrior status throughout 2022, from shows with duet partner Johnson to major festivals all summer long. Beginning on August 26, Munsick will join Morgan Wallen for several dates on his headlining The Dangerous Tour. For tickets and more information, visit www.ianmunsick.com.
