Featured on his self-titled debut album, Hayes co-wrote “Wanted” with Troy Verges and the breakout hit went on to receive a Best Country Solo Performance nod at the 2013 GRAMMY© awards. The track also scored Hayes his first No. 1 single on the country airplay charts and solidified the multi-instrumentalist as the youngest solo male artist to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart in over 40 years.
American Songwriter observed that “Hunter Hayes is on a mission to become a household name” when the then-20-year-old released his debut project and Hayes has yet to slow down since. With multiple sales certifications, more than 700 million on-demand streams, three No. 1 singles – the 5x multi-platinum smash “Wanted,” double-platinum “I Want Crazy” and platinum-selling “Somebody’s Heartbreak” – and over 40 award nominations and wins, the singer/songwriter continues to evolve. His latest release intertwined three songs and culminated in a mini-movie event entitled “Pictures.” Hayes envisioned the songs being connected and brought “You Should Be Loved,” “More” and “This Girl” to life in three 50’s inspired music videos.
