Duo to Release Digital EP May 8
Brothers Brad and Curtis Rempel of High Valley have long shared stories of a family-filled childhood in rural La Crete, Alberta in Canada, so it’s no surprise that they’re proud to say they “Grew Up On That.” Their brand new single, written by the duo’s Brad Rempel, Ben Stennis and Jaron Boyer, cites details of small town living specific to their lives but familiar to any country fan. The upbeat tune will be available digitally beginning tomorrow, March 13 (link HERE). It is the title track of and theme behind their upcoming EP, due May 8.
“We have spent a lot of time in the past couple of years explaining what we grew up without, having spent our childhoods living in a pretty remote area,” Brad said. “This time around we wanted to let people know more of our story and exactly what we did have – what made us who we are – and what we grew up on.”
Last fall High Valley debuted new track “Your Mama,” written by Ben West, Josh Miller, Troy Verges and Florida Georgia Line’s Tyler Hubbard as a message from parent to child (listen HERE). Described as a “heartwarming musical embrace” (Sounds Like Nashville), the mid-tempo country song is a tribute to the duo’s better halves. The official video, which stars the brothers as well as their wives and children, was directed by Emma Higgins and shot at Brad’s home outside of Nashville (watch HERE).
Their distinctive brand of positive-minded, bluegrass-infused country music has made High Valley a formidable duo across the globe. They have already earned 250 million streams across the US and their native Canada alone. Their 2016 debut album Dear Life produced fan favorite “Make You Mine” and Top 10 radio hit “She’s With Me,” both of which have been certified Gold. The brothers’ touring credits include dates with some of the format’s biggest superstars, from Shania Twain to Keith Urban, and they are currently on the road with the Eli Young Band through the spring.
