Live from the Circle on the Opry House Stage
Wednesday, May 30 @ 3 p.m. CT Ahead of June 1 Album Release
Michael Ray Returns to ABC’s “Good Morning America” Monday, June 4
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (May 29, 2018) – Fans can celebrate the June 1 release of Michael Ray’s new album, Amos, early as he performs the new music live from the famed circle on the Opry House stage on Wednesday, May 30 at 3 p.m. CT. The performance will be simulcast on all Opry digital properties, as well as streamed across Warner Music Nashville's social media accounts and Michael Ray's social media accounts.
“The Grand Ole Opry introduced me to so much music over the years, so leading into this album’s release it was important to me that we start it off right,” shared Ray, who will perform select songs with his full band, live from the Opry House stage.
It will be a full-Opry-circle moment for Ray. The album is named for his treasured grandfather who used to test Ray’s knowledge of country music history and the legends. Ray honed his honest appreciation for the format playing in his grandfather’s band in the cow-towns of central Florida. His grandfather passed away two months before Ray’s first appearance on the legendary Opry stage and Ray has said that his memory was central to the creation of Amos.
“My grandfather and dad always told me, ‘When you are climbing the ladder, stop on one of the rungs and see where you are – and where you have been.’ I don’t want to take anything for granted or miss an opportunity to acknowledge how much this means to me,” he explained
The album preview just days before its official release is an intimate performance for fans and all of those who follow the Opry across social media. Fans across social media will be able to submit questions in real-time to be answered by Ray during the livestream between songs hosted by Opry Entertainment producer Jill Wilderman.
Ray will also perform on the Opry’s stage on Saturday, June 2 then make his debut at Opry City Stage in New York City’s Times Square on Monday, June 4.
The morning of his Opry City Stage performance, Ray will perform on both ABC’s “Good Morning America” and make his daytime debut on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” performing “Get to You.”
The Top 15 and climbing song follows Ray’s two previous No. 1 songs from his self-titled debut. The single features an imploring performance by Ray, with an emotional delivery that speaks to the heartbreak of finding walls in a relationship when what you crave is an open door.

About Michael Ray
Country singer-songwriter Michael Ray was a hit right out of the box, scoring both with critics and on the charts. With Country Aircheck boasting there are "big things on the horizon for Michael Ray" and his live shows lauded by USA Today as simply “lip-smacking good," the Florida native backed up that praise with two number ones from his 2015 self-titled debut album with “Kiss You in the Morning” and “Think a Little Less.” His sophomore album, Amos, named for his grandfather and produced by the legendary Scott Hendricks (Alan Jackson, Faith Hill, Blake Shelton) will be released June 1. The album has already spawned the hit single “Get to You,” now climbing the Billboard charts and praised by Rolling Stone for its “impassioned chorus” and Ray’s impressive vocal range. Inspired by his rescue dog Wrigley, Ray created the charitable initiative Wrigley Cares: Helping Animals in Need, collecting donations for local animal shelters at every stop on his “Get To You" Tour in partnership with Zappos For Good. This summer Ray hits the road to play a variety of shows and festivals including Carolina Country Music Fest 2018 and will play direct support on Old Dominion’s Happy Endings World Tour this fall.
