Fresh off an exhilarating album launch for the record-setting LP Good Things, 3x GRAMMY winning superstars Dan + Shay are continuing to have a dominating week in country music as their brand new single “Steal My Love” is No.1 most added at country radio (LISTEN HERE). The impact date comes just one day after their Gold-certified hit “Glad You Exist” was crowned this week’s No.1 single on the Billboard and Mediabase Country Airplay charts, marking the duo’s sixth consecutive and ninth career No.1. “Steal My Love” recently made its TV debut on NBC’s TODAY (WATCH HERE), with the music video premiering this afternoon on Facebook (WATCH HERE), directed by frequent collaborator Patrick Tracy. The duo will perform another new track from Good Things this Wednesday on CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Following the performance to a capacity crowd of 10,000 people last Friday at the Good Things Album Release Concert at The Great Lawn in Centennial Park, Dan + Shay celebrated in a massive way with their team. The duo received several plaques, including Gold certification for “Glad You Exist.” The current chart topper has already surpassed one million U.S. track equivalents and is Platinum-certified in Canada. Dan + Shay were also surprised with the news that Good Things has become the first country album in the streaming era to achieve RIAA Gold certification at release. Produced by the duo’s Dan Smyers, the 12-song record has brought Dan + Shay’s total RIAA Gold and Platinum certifications to 40, with more to come.
The Platinum-selling duo began the album’s record-breaking journey in October 2019 with the 4x Platinum, multi-week No.1 “10,000 Hours” (with Justin Bieber), which saw the biggest first-week streaming total in country music history and was the fastest country song to reach one million U.S. track equivalents. The worldwide hit spent 21 weeks at No.1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart (5th longest run in chart history) and gave the duo their third consecutive GRAMMY Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, making them the first and only artist to do so three years running since the category’s inception. Dan + Shay followed with Platinum-certified “I Should Probably Go To Bed,” which has surpassed 300 million global streams and has garnered over 1.6 million track equivalents.
Good Things follows in the footsteps of Dan + Shay, the duo’s third album that launched them to superstardom. The Platinum-certified record features global hit “Tequila" (6x Platinum and more than 1.2 billion global streams), multi-format hit “Speechless” (5x Platinum and more than 1.1 billion global streams), and No.1 country song “All To Myself" (2x Platinum). The album has aided in countless wins and honors including GRAMMY, CMA, ACM, CMT, American Music, Billboard and iHeartRadio Music Awards, among others. It also added to the duo’s more than eight billion global streams and nine No.1 singles at country radio.
Their massive headlining Dan + Shay The (Arena) Tour will resume this fall with new 2021 dates. The 30-stop explosive tour includes a night at the famed Madison Square Garden in NY, NY and will feature Atlantic Records’ The Band Camino and labelmate Ingrid Andress. The (Arena) Tour had major success when it kicked off in March 2020, selling out three consecutive shows, including two back-to-back in Nashville, TN. Following the sell-outs, The Tennessean stated, “Every song was greeted like a single by the packed house.”
