With the official video for “Tequila” tallying over 8.4 million views, the ACM-nominated Dan + Shay are seeing what Taste of Country calls a “mid-tempo, polished, pop-country heartbreaker” reach new heights as it scores coveted spots on 18 international Spotify Viral 50 playlists and remains prominent on their Today’s Top Hits playlist. The single further rises on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and rapidly approaches the Top 30 on the country airplay charts. Smyers penned “Tequila” alongside Nicholle Gaylon and Jordan Reynolds and the song stands at the 16th most streamed country song of 2018.
“Tequila” arrives as the flagship single from Dan + Shay’s third studio album, due out later this year.
