NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (August 14, 2017) – Platinum-selling recording artist Cole Swindell has hit the top of the charts- yet again- with his record-breaking 7th consecutive No. 1 single “Flatliner” featuring his mentor/good friend and 2017 WHAT THE HELL WORLD TOUR road mate, Dierks Bentley. “Flatliner” is Swindell’s tenth overall as a songwriter and breaks his own record, again, of being the only solo artist in the history of Country Aircheck/Mediabase to top the chart with his first SEVEN singles.
Swindell is one of the featured performers in this week’s “CMA Fest” TV special performing “Flatliner” (this week’s No. 1 single) with Bentley on Wednesday, August 16 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET).
Additionally, the video for “Flatliner,” directed by Michael Monaco, is in the Top 5 and rising on CMT Hot 20 Countdown this week.
"Every No 1 is special for so many reasons," said Cole Swindell. "This one is really special because it's a song I wrote with my mentor in mind. Never dreaming it would turn out like this for me! Dierks is not only my mentor but my friend and now I have a No 1 song I was blessed to get to record with him. He has been so gracious and supportive of me from the beginning. This feels amazing."
“Flatliner,” written by Swindell, Matt Brownleewe and Jaron Boyer, is the third single from Swindell’s sophomore album You Should Be Here which also includes his Platinum-selling, 1 billion audience reaching multi-week No. 1 “You Should Be Here” and his sixth consecutive and last No. 1 and Gold-certified “Middle of a Memory.” The Georgia native’s self-titled debut album included four consecutive No. 1 singles including the Gold-certified “Let Me See Ya Girl,” along with Platinum-certified hits “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight,” “Ain’t Worth The Whiskey,” and “Chillin’ It.”
Swindell wraps up Dierks Bentley’s 2017 WHAT THE HELL WORLD TOUR on September 2 in Greenwood Village, CO.
