Celebrates Father’s Day and “Love Someone” Last Night in Home State
It’s lucky number seven for Brett Eldredge – first notching an impressive seventh Platinum single earlier this year with “The Long Way” and now earning his seventh country chart-topper in “Love Someone.” The “summery, feel-good ode to the butterflies spawned by a healthy relationship” (Rolling Stone), written by Eldredge with Ross Copperman and Heather Morgan, reached the top of the Mediabase / Country Aircheck country airplay chart this week and has topped 75 million streams.
“Love Someone” hails from his self-titled album, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales (all-genre) and Top Country Albums charts. The singer / songwriter has also earned a No. 1 Holiday / Adult Contemporary song with his duet of “Baby It’s Cold Outside” alongside GRAMMY-winner Meghan Trainor.
“It’s been a hell of a ride with ‘Love Someone,’” Eldredge said. “I have to thank Ross Copperman and Heather Morgan for bringing your amazing gifts and writing this song with me... and of course I have to thank my insanely passionate fans, country radio and my team for their belief in me and my music. What a way to finish out this album – and we are just getting started!”
Eldredge took the stage in his home state of Illinois last night (6/16) at the Tailgate N’ Tallboys music festival to celebrate both his chart-topper and Father’s Day. His own dad joined him for a special fan-fueled rendition of “Love Someone” (watch HERE).
The entertainer was most recently on the road for his headlining “The Long Way Tour,” named for his Platinum-certified Top 5 hit. He will take “The Long Way,” “Love Someone” and more to the streets of Lower Broadway this summer to headline Nashville’s July 4th Celebration. CMT will air a 90-minute live special of Let Freedom Sing! that will include performances from the country star and one of the largest fireworks shows in the nation.
In addition to select tour dates, Eldredge is currently writing and recording for his next project.
