Brand new single “The Long Way” hits country radio
Eldredge performing on TODAY Citi Concert Series, Tonight Show
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (August 7, 2017) – When Brett Eldredge released Brett Eldredge (Atlantic Records / Warner Music Nashville) on Friday, both the Platinum-selling recording artist and his self-titled album shot to the top of the iTunes All-Genre and Country charts. The 12-song project, co-written and co-produced by Eldredge, is kicking off the week still holding fast to the No. 1 spot.
Eldredge will take the “charming, emotional and diverse” (Sounds Like Nashville) album and past favorites to the TODAY Citi Concert Series this morning, with a special co-hosting slot in the 9:00 a.m. hour. On Wednesday the singer / songwriter will head over to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform his brand new single “The Long Way.” The track, which is going for immediate airplay at country radio, describes the feeling of wanting to learn about every part of someone’s life.
“‘The Long Way’ is a look into what I want to find in love,” said Eldredge. “It’s about getting to know somebody more than just on the surface, getting to know somebody deep down to their core. It’s more than just taking the long way around their town, it’s through their imagination. It’s them telling you everything about where they came from. You want to know every single detail – where they wrecked their bike the first time, where their parents fell in love, the lot where the car they drove in high school is sitting. I think this song says don’t be afraid to have that conversation, don’t be afraid to get to know that person.”
After his television takeover this week, Eldredge will continue on the road for Luke Bryan’s “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day” tour.
