In case your memory needs a refresher, let this serve as a reminder: the mind-bending official music video for Brett Eldredge’s current single, “Songs About You,” is available everywhere now (WATCH HERE). Directed and produced by Running Bear Films, the visual draws direct inspiration from the 2x Academy Award winning film, “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” from celebrated screenwriter Charlie Kaufman and visionary director Michel Gondry.
In addition, Eldredge’s headlining Songs About You Tour kicks off this Friday (7/22) in Saratoga, CA. The coast-to-coast trek will make several stops across North America before wrapping up in Michigan at the end of September. Eldredge will be joined by various special guests including labelmate BRELAND along with Nate Smith, Lauren Alaina, Shelby Darrall and Caylee Hammack. Tickets are on sale now at https://www.bretteldredge.com/tour.
The title track of his latest album, the acclaimed vocalist also recently shared a performance of “Songs About You” on Good Morning America (WATCH HERE) and delighted late-night TV viewers with a stunning performance of the LP’s emotional “Holy Water” on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (WATCH HERE). Eldredge “continues with his brand of smooth, easygoing grooves that highlight his endless vocal charisma” (Billboard) throughout the new album and is already seeing rave reviews. PEOPLE described it as “a necklace of twelve gems, each with its own sparkle, from the unbridled joy of the first track, ‘Can’t Keep Up,’ to the achingly sweet sadness of final track, ‘Where the Light Meets the Sea.’ Every single song was co-written by Eldredge — and both lyrics and melodies shine with masterful, evocative themes. Every single song also was crafted to fully exploit the potency of Eldredge’s singular voice.”
Billboard agreed, saying “Sonically, the album strips away anything that would distract from the project’s vocals and lyrics, which find Eldredge digging deeper into not only themes of love and heartbreak, but mental health.” In addition, CMT declared that “an album like Songs About You is way overdue, as the genre has been craving a raw collection that sparks the importance of mental health and addresses anxiety, love, unexpected heartbreak all in one. Eldredge proves he has an impressive way with words, as the lyrics of each melody tend to cut deep.”
The new music follows his seven country-radio No. 1’s, nine Gold and Platinum-certified singles, two Gold-certified albums, multiple CMA, ACM and CMT Music nominations and wins and most recently, his critically acclaimed fourth studio record, Sunday Drive.
