Country Superstar Makes Surprise Delivery to Fan via Amazon Prime Now
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (November 6, 2017) – No artist has ever had six songs on the Mediabase chart at one time in Country Aircheck’s history – until now, that is. Blake Shelton makes history this week with six of the 11 tracks from his brand new record Texoma Shore simultaneously hitting the charts at country radio, five of which (“At The House,” “I Lived It,” Turnin’ Me On,” “Money” and “I Lived It”) made their world premieres at iHeartRadio and other country stations last week leading up to album launch. While the other songs are making their chart debuts, Shelton’s current single “I’ll Name The Dogs” has climbed into the Top 10 in just eight weeks and boasts over 17 million streams.
“At the end of the day, I make music so that it can be heard,” said Shelton. “It’s amazing that so many songs from a brand new album have been embraced so early. I’m proud of this record and the work that went into making it, and I’m proud that already it means something to my fans. Thanks to country radio for the support.”
Shelton counted down to album release last week in New York with a series of television appearances and performances that included visits to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, TODAY, Late Night With Seth Meyers and LIVE with Kelly and Ryan. He celebrated the official launch back in Nashville for his Pandora “Sounds Like Country” show Friday night. Prior to taking the stage, Shelton hand-delivered a copy of the just-released Texoma Shore to an Amazon Prime customer who had pre-ordered the album via Amazon Prime Now. Check out the video of Shelton’s fan surprise here.
The chart-topping country artist will continue to celebrate the brand new album on the road in 2018 on his headlining “Country Music Freaks” tour alongside Brett Eldredge, Carly Pearce and special guest Trace Adkins. Texoma Shore follows Shelton’s last album, If I’m Honest, which was the best-selling country album released in 2016. That album earned Shelton a number of awards, including Top Country Artist at the Billboard Music Awards in May. Earlier this year he became the first country artist ever to win the all-genre Favorite Album category at the People’s Choice Awards, along with the title for Favorite Male Country Artist.
