Magnetic newcomer Avery Anna is set to release her debut album, Breakup Over Breakfast, on July 19 via Warner Music Nashville (PRE-ORDER/SAVE HERE). To celebrate, the self-proclaimed “sad girl” songstress released the project’s title track, “Breakup Over Breakfast,” everywhere today (LISTEN HERE).
“Breakup Over Breakfast as a whole conveys good intentions and bad outcomes,” explains Avery. “Throughout the process of writing these songs I’ve really kept my personal life in mind and especially the experiences I’ve had with my fans. We are all so desperate for love and connection but the journey to find those things can sometimes get messy and that’s just the harsh reality of life. This album means so much to me. It’s very personal and nerve wracking for me to release it into the world and show that side of myself but I’m ready to rock out, sob, sing, and connect. It’s a little bit of everything that I love - rock, acoustic singer/songwriter, pop, country - all the kinds of music that have served as the soundtrack to my life over the past couple of years. I hope you love it!”
The album will also feature “Make It Look Easy,” described by Billboard as “rage-fueled rock,” alongside recent releases “Two Sides Of The Story” and “Blonde,” which together prompted MusicRow to declare: “She has a voice of gold…[her] vocal delivery is priceless. Absolutely play this.”
A vibrant talent with an expressive pen, she's earned recognition for a nuanced lyricism well beyond her 20 years that she couples with a dynamic, piano-forward sound. Amazon Music, Apple Music, Pandora, Spotify and YouTube have all named the talented Arizona native an Artist to Watch in the few short years since she began her music career by documenting herself singing in an acoustic-friendly, claw-foot bathtub. Avery’s 2022 debut EP, Mood Swings, served as a seven-song introduction featuring the Gold-certified viral hit, “Narcissist.” She performed the breakthrough track as a first-time nominee on the 2023 CMT Music Awards, before debuting her all-too-relatable empowerment anthem “Self Love” on NBC’s TODAY.
Fans will have a chance to catch Avery multiple times this weekend for CMA Fest 2024, beginning with a Spotify House performance on Saturday (6/8) followed by an appearance at Riverfront Stage on Sunday morning (6/9). Having quickly become an in-demand touring artist, she has opened for Cole Swindell, Jordan Davis, BRELAND, Chase Rice and more, both across the United States and abroad.
