NASHVILLE, TN – (August 14, 2017) – All eyes are on “All On Me” singer/songwriter Devin Dawson who continues to draw unparalleled recognition as an artist to watch, most recently in best-selling fashion magazine ELLE’s fall culture preview. “The ELLE 25” showcases the 25 “don’t miss happenings of the coming season” across movies, TV, music, books and more. The inclusion, which was paired with the exclusive title reveal of his forthcoming debut Dark Horse, shares the accolade with only two other music-related events not to miss: a new album from the GRAMMY-award-winning St. Vincent and the “pop showdown of 2017” between superstar girl-group Fifth Harmony and former member turned solo artist Camilla Cabello.

“The California native,” proclaims ELLE, “…has all the dynamism—serious guitar skills, stare inducing stage presence—of the Clint Blacks and Garth Brookses of the world. But Dawson brings his own spin to a genre that’s recently started opening its doors to artists from the country road less traveled: pleading, blues-rock vocals; inventive, soulful instrumentation; and lyrical originality…”

The Warner Music Nashville/Atlantic Records artist adds this to a bevy of praise from other outlets with similar sentiments including Entertainment Weekly, Rolling Stone, The Tennessean, CMT and HITS Magazine. He also spoke recently with People Magazine about the visually stunning music video for his debut single “All On Me,” which is currently boasting over 20 million on-demand streams.

Dawson, the first artist to ever live-stream a musical performance in Facebook’s LA studio, notched his third performance on the Grand Ole Opry stage this month and on August 23 will join Brett Eldredge, Chris Janson and Michael Ray for Big 98 & St Jude’s Accu-Chek Guide Guitar-B-Que at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheatre. The VEVO dscvr artist, who looked “right at home” (Rolling Stone) for his national television debut on Late Night with Seth Meyers in May, has already toured with Maren Morris, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill this year, with upcoming touring news soon to be announced.

About Devin Dawson
Devin Dawson is not your typical country artist. His approach to music is not different on purpose, it’s different with purpose. Twenty-eight years old and from Orangevale, California, Dawson grew up just outside the gates of Folsom Prison. He heard the sirens at night and drew inspiration from Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson, Marvin Gaye and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Pulling from these influences, he began to write in a style that is definitively country. With lyrics full of romance and vulnerability delivered with a distinctive saw-toothed vocal, Dawson draws you in from the first verse and keeps you hooked until the very last chord. His unique mix of organic roots and high-voltage country is showcased masterfully on his forthcoming debut Dark Horse, produced by the daring Jay Joyce (Eric Church, Little Big Town, Brothers Osborne). With a co-write credit on every track, the result will further establish Dawson with the reputation he’s already building: a dark horse set to emerge as one of the most exciting modern storytellers the format has ever seen.
