Debut Single Already Nearing 3 Million Streams, Impacts Radio 8/26
Whether it’s fishing, boating or even just sitting together by a campfire, Trea Landon is ready to show the world what it means to be “Loved By A Country Boy.” The brand new music video for his first major label single (listen HERE) made its broadcast debut on CMT this morning with an online premiere on Taste of Country (watch HERE), who describe it as “a slick, well-produced sound…that celebrates the joys of clean country living and loving.” Landon penned the song, which will impact country radio next Monday, August 26, alongside Nashville songwriting staples Kyle Fishman, Dallas Davidson and Justin Wilson.
“This is the right song to kick off my career at country radio because it really tells you who I am,” said Landon. “I’m a country boy and if you’re with me, I’m gonna make you feel loved in the way that only a country boy can. The video highlights just what that means – days and nights together outside, fishing, canoeing, and supporting each other. I’m excited for people to see it and relate to it.”
“Loved By A Country Boy” is already starting to make waves in the country landscape, racking up more than 2.5 million streams before radio airplay and holding a week-long residency on Spotify’s United States Viral 50chart (peaking at No. 16). The 25-year-old Georgia native has also released “Get The Girl,” a romantic track that led MusicRow to declare: “I think I hear stardom” (listen HERE). He will perform both tunes and more new music at Nashville’s own Marathon Music Works with John Langston on August 30.
Landon scored a publishing deal within weeks of moving to Nashville in 2015, released an EP independently with more than three million streams and has since joined the Warner Music Nashville label family. He considers the Peach Pickers among his greatest influences on his songs that tell tale of love, heartbreak, dirt roads and good times.
